Ashamed
God I feel ashamed, I tainted your name
After everything you did, Lord I can’t change
You gave your blood, you died for me
I don’t deserve your love but you still give it to me
All I’m asking for is your mercy
I just pray you watch over me
As I lay me down to sleep
I pray to the Lord my soul to keep
At the end of the day I’m crackin’
I just hope it’s not too late for me
I feel your blood on my satin sheets
It’s 2020 and I done lost all my faith you see
But I can’t take no more, I’m coming back
What I lack in the book, I pack in the gat
I know death is never the answer but I’m close to that
Close to shooting every demon that done crossed my path

I am honestly speechless. WOW... just WOW. These words paint such a beautiful picture of the darkness, guilt, sin, demons and pain that many of us have faced or endured. I've read plenty of poems my dear and this peace speaks to me in a way that's different from the rest. I hope you find peace, continue writing and I wish you the best.

God knew of your pain before you were born, yet He still created you. When He hung on the cross, He seen you through His blood. There is nothing that you can do to separate you from the love of God. You are a daughter to the King and all your tears, He’s seen. God is with you. Better days are coming. Beautiful poem!
