Fragility
She was the embodiment of broken,
hard seashells ran ragged through rough terrains endured navigating the seas of life.
Despite her strength, her essence scattered into a million minuscule grains along the sea shore.
Forged in the fires, a heavenly light brought her back to life.
Resuscitated by the brilliance of a lightning strike.
The storm now rages on inside her heart.
Her rebirth brings strength intertwined with fragility
what once was broken is easily fractured again
A soul pieced back together still remembers the cracks
The mind runs it’s thoughts over scars no longer visible on the flesh
She holds the pain of a million breaks, as the tape rewinds and replays in the depths of the darkened corridors that shaped her
She walks across a tightrope of barbed wire
Forging through obstacles within and outside of herself
Darkened clouds precipitate
as the thundering and lightning which regifted her life eternally frenzy
encapsulated inside a tender heart
stretched to its limits
Resiliency comes with a price to pay
Forgive her if she keeps her heart closely tucked and fiercely guarded under her wing
She isn’t weak
She knows a truth only few can grasp
when you’ve been fused together into glass
It only takes a single fall,
to lose it all
