Irony
I find irony in witnessing:
A public safety vehicle getting into a car crash
It may be kind of wry, but it happens in a flash
Or a criminal, video recording his own crime
And then like a dumbass boast about it online
Life tends to have these little things one can ponder on
Because the universe also has a sense of irony itself
Like a person carrying a “Don’t Tread On Me Flag”
Only then to have the crowd trample her to death

Or a criminal, video recording his own crime
And then like a dumbass boast about it online

Like a person carrying a “Don’t Tread On Me Flag”
Only then to have the crowd trample her to death

Thank you very much Blue (and for the RL as well). Irony comes in many different ways.

Thanks Nunaya, was there something I could have done better, or given more examples? Let me know.

Well, I think we all have examples and situations we've been witness to. Sometimes I wish I would have kept a closer track of all of them.
Thanks for the RL!

I think I've subjected myself to Karma's consequences, sort of self-punishment or repayment to the universe for my younger self's transgressions.
Now I'm more careful with my choices, but do enjoy the occasional offerings we are witness to.

In person I tend to have very little to say, I tend to be an observer and I perhaps jump in with some goofy humor if things are stale or perhaps a kind word to someone who seems unhappy, but mostly, what I do is observe and think about how absurd everything is. So your write really spoke to me on that core level. 💖🙏

Thank for stopping by Daniel and adding to your RL.
I always like to approach certain things with humor to make light of the situation, but lately everything just seems unreal. At least I take comfort in knowing that there is a conscious collective who sees the light and understands the circumstances at hand. Us poets have to be the voice of reason.

There are so many ironic things these days and you captured that feeling perfectly in this wonderful spill. A lot of Darwin awards being handed out too.

It's hard to keep track, but you're right, it is natural selection at hand, every day.
