So Cupid died and went to Heaven
But with all these nice loving souls
There was nothing for him to do
So he fell into a deep  depression
To be saved only by Venus,
Impeded on her way down to earth
By the Nasty Mars
And even with the best of intentions
And his best shot
He could not reconcile those two
And almost fell into another deep
Depression,
Only to be saved by Valentine of fame.
