The Eroticism of Rosoideae
truest
dewy splendor
—a floral writhe
wetted petals
in asunder
soon to splay
bud of wonder
awash
in
permeation's bathe;
brilliant vibrant
waves
of such
heaven scented
blossoms
~
blooming
s l o w l y,
so
aching to engage
Author's Note
A rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae, or the flower it bears. There are over three hundred species and tens of thousands of cultivars. They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing, or trailing, with stems that are often armed with sharp pickles. Flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds.
Rosoideae is a subfamily of plants in the rose family Rosaceae. These plants may be small trees, shrubs, or plants without wood. Many useful plants are in Rosoideae. Strawberries and Raspberries are two common fruits from Rosoideae. Roses are common flowers in Rosoideae.

I really appreciate the Author's Notes section to lend understanding to your beautifully magnified details, giving the flower a soulful presence upon the page, with a subtly understated erotic metaphor. Well rendered.

Your thoughts and insightful comments are always helpful in seeing how my writing comes across to others. Often, my selfishness (not intended) leaves that notion never crossing my mind...
I'm grateful for you, your time and reading, my at times, silliness..(I jest.. well, kinda...lol) ...
thank you

Which is very appealing and appropriate...
to burrow in and pollinate...
hopefully satisfying her bud via germination?
That bee is a very sensually erotic, indeed
Ty for reading

So many people fail to see all the erotica of the natural world...this morning I watched two snails in the universal embrace...you never miss a moment Blue...all the beauty is captured in this poem.

Re: Re. The Eroticism of Rosoideae
You are a lovely soul, Harry
Ty for sharing your thoughts. I'm extremely grateful for your visits, that usually leave me feeling like I've learned something about myself or just a tiny lesson in life that I needed, yet didn't know was missing, until your beautiful visits open my eyes...
It's a feeling that I don't ever want to stop feeling or take for granted. Ty, my friend—
I'm forever grateful our paths crossed.
Appreciate the RL add, too

Well, aside from the title, the photo and your author's note about how erotic and beautiful this was going to be, I'm still blown away by the sensuality. I thoroughly enjoy pieces that aren't crass or vulgar as they bathe the senses with a more smooth appeal.
Beautiful work.
Beautiful work.

Your poem blossoms into a galaxy of sensual beauty through both the poem itself and your author's note. This is a rare beauty of a poem that sings to me through color and texture painted by your words.

Ohhh no!
I'm cringing from behind my hands, covering my eyes in embarrassment from these old pieces!
😳 🫣You're being far too generous with your lovely feedback, John. I deeply appreciate it and thank you very much for reading through some of these, it couldn't have been easy.. lol... They're not great but valid learning aids that helped me to really practice at how to find and write my voice.... the way I needed to.
I'm still a work in progress.... ;)
Much love and big hugs for the kindness you so warmly emanate.
