21st Century Jungle

All around my neighborhood
Are Concrete boxes with a view
Decorated with trees and grasses
Protected with guards and fences
I see the movement of the leaves
Than movement of people

Dogs bark during the night
Hear people's chatter from time to time
Children playing on the pavement
Cars passing with a slow whoosh
Garbage collectors and Gardeners
The sound of airplanes and crickets

No friendly neighbors, just strange faces
Living in their own home world
With their problems and sufferings
With their pride and good doings
With their family huddled
Under a roof they built.
