Nothing and Everything
Nature needs diversity
in order to exist in its natural state—
nothing is the same
Within its kingdom
the lion is no greater than the bee—
everything is the same

Your stanzas bring to mind the Korean "sijo" style of poetry in both form and wisdom imparted.

Very nice recognizing there! Though this isn't completely accurate; I allowed it to just be. Thank you. 🙏 ❤

I really enjoy your short poems... They are like bombs... So powerful... There one explodes and you wake up with a jolt to the fact, truth and wisdom. And wake up for good :)
You are shaken n you waken 😊
Thanks a lot for sharing this 🌹😊

This reminds how selfish humans are and everything that happens is entirely their fault.
I think the pandemic is nature’s way of punishing humans.
Solemn and abrupt malady wake up call for sure

Everything is connected at the most fundamental level. The extinction of the smallest creature will sooner or later spread across the land like a wildfire.

Indeed, Kitts. Our ecosystem is dependent upon all pieces of it's puzzle in order to generate a balanced picture. I appreciate your support. 🙏 ❤

In a time when we are so "human-centric" this is a gentle reminder of the interconnectedness and interdependence of everything...I have always been a snail rescuer, since I was a little boy...a beautiful poem A.

Exactly, Harry. No one nor nothing is an island alone unto themselves. Thank you, my friend. 🙏 ❤

Succinctly stated through Truth's inherent extremes, T. Despite how unique we all are blessed in becoming, we are all capable of accomplishing nothing by denying it through conformity. xo

Re. Nothing and Everything
I just finished watching David Attenborough's latest documentary where he talks about the importance of biodiversity. You expressed it so beautiful here, as it applies to all life in this planet.
Stunning verse.

This is a nice little encouragement to those feeling weak and unimportant, I feel. Although it’s not exactly 5-7-5 (which, come to think of it, is a fairly arbitrary rule based on western interpretation of Japanese syntax) it holds the warmth and energy and spirit of haiku.

Thanks, Jack!
Do you know it just tumbled out of me like that? Seriously? I don't think I even edited that one.
