A Poem for Char

"Tiny but mighty" no truer words have been said
Three pounds, big eyed and
She's wanting nothing but chicken and a lap
Eager to throw herself from high places
And risk being shut into the door, gate, any barrier
That prevents the two of you being together
Eater of grass, carrots, frozen peas and, of course, chicken
Gentle nibbles to bites of war
Ah, Char, what a lovely puppy you are
