In 1957 my ship docked in the town of Cork (Ireland)
If you think that is a long time ago, you are probably right
but in my head, it was yesterday.
Life was slower back then, cargo was lowered into
donkey carts, there were many mules waiting
we went to a pub, a stone a throwaway and drank Guinness
Never did I tell my mother, but I told her of the Irish girl
I was going to marry had red hair and green eyes
she had the aroma of an angel.

Flesh Prison
God knows that if we'd ever meet Id break their teeth
So they play these jokes with my body and mind
Blood attacking itself, pain meds not working
Axe that though it's all my meds not working properly
Nails that split like these fucked up lips
Both only happy when I bite them off
Violence in these veins literally and spiritually
Busted doll vibes with these messed up joints
God loves to see me happy in the pain
It's mild, continuous torture at best
And sadistic fuckery at it's basic worst
Yes, let's bless and curse me in one breathe ...

The Death Of An Earpod
So my daughter lost an earpod a little while ago
And they really are expensive, as I'm sure you all will know.
She re-traced her steps,everywhere that she'd been
But unfortunately it was nowhere to be seen.
Imagine how annoyed she was,with no-one else to blame.
She ordered a new pair and in the post they came.
A few weeks later,she walked out the front door
And happened to look down,and guess what she saw.
I kid you not it was her ear-pod,scattered everywhere.
A car had run over it,and left it lying there.
If she'd only...

No One Is Home
In these woods we dared to be
Though tales were told of tragedy
Of monsters hiding deep in woods
We shan't believe them no one should
Though we don't believe these tales
Could there be more beyond the trails?
Each tree we pass we trek deeper in woods
Down comes the rain and up go our hoods
With thunder and lightning our minds start to wander
Could there really be monsters way out yonder?
Now we're lost cant see our way back

One Slip!
Just one slip folks and it's all over!
I was thinking about this the other day,
On my way to the pub -
The fine margins between error and triumph.
Saying the wrong word, just one Damn word,
And your whole world turns upside down.
A fallen tree, where moments earlier you were sitting,
A cracked roof tile thundering down into your garden.
You could've been mowing that splendid lawn after all!
Red or Black, that your whole life depends on -
Russian Roulette.
You stepped off the tube a stop early -
Good for you or was it? ...
