Black Man

Black Man
Black Man
Yes that is me
I am black and I'm proud
Cut us both open we shed the same blood
Cops killing us just for some stripes
Taking innocent black lives
Black Lives Matter

Do you feel my pain?
The rage of animosity
The brokenness inside of me
The heart of agony
Broken puzzle pieces
Pieces of me that will never connect
The level of anguish
Neglect of love is heartfelt
I just want to be emancipated
Free from this oppression
Some people say we got a lot of malice, some say it's a lotta nerve
But I say we won't quit movin' until we get what we deserve
We've been rebuked and we've been scorned
We've been treated bad, talked about as sure as you're born
But just as sure as it takes two eyes to make a pair, huh!
Brother, we can't quit until we get our share

Black man
Black man
Yes that is me
