Grasping at straws
Gasping for breath
Breathe in that rare air
Chase away death
Life is a candle
A flickering wick
Gone in a flash
All together too quick

I'm not even sure I know what to do first! I want to simultaneously dial my phone whilst jumping in my car...realizing I don't even know who I'm calling or where I'm going! The emotional wallop of your short phrases and the despair in the words certainly had a catapult effect for me and my heart! This felt so inevitable, like the moment you realize perhaps you should not have gotten on the roller coaster only to find out you're locked in and you're going for a ride whether you're ready or not.

I like the way you phrase this. But we all are in the same boat, all trying to stay afloat, trying to remain as positive as possible even though we know we're all heading for the same place. Go one day at a time. Hang in there.
