starlight
I clothe myself in starlight...
walking in the celestial gardens
I contemplate the beauty of the universes
my pain is in tune with the cosmic wavelength
he is mine and me his
there is a mortal joining
there is also an eternal oneness
golden knots formed before the foundations
I cling to mortality
my mortal coil wrapped so tightly about me
it confounds me
it is my frailty of understanding
he would not that I be blind
my internal understanding must be invoked
I was given a thorn in my side
it shall not be removed
in my arrogance I received it
to gain in humility
the bridegroom over eternities awaits my presence
I will be properly attired to greet him
my cloaks woven from wisdom gained
for now, I clothe myself in starlight
until I'm received in the galaxies
knowledge internalized

Dear B,
The last stanza caught my breath. For me, it was as though there was the beautiful love story being told through the centuries and then this magnificent ending of being absorbed by astral universes to shine on forever. I’m sure I may have overlooked your intended meaning but this is where my mind went. Beautiful!

Your wisdom is ethereal. You have an amazing sense of person carried through your words. You should be really proud of what you've put down here

Re. starlight
Because I have not had so much time to read I have gravitated to certain writers, and even then sparsely, out of habit but you truly are an artist with your words. I could only dream to aspire to write true poetry like what you seem to do so effortlessly and continuously. Along with others on this site you are a prodigy. This might be weird to say but I think I did not comment on yours because I would be embarrassed if you read mine.
