What matters
in this moment
is not a fire someone set
engulfing an innocent
youth down its throat
none of us are saints;
we've all made mistakes—
hoping a second. . .
third, or fourth chance
makes an appearance
before we become artifacts.
What matters now—
in this moment
is that George Floyd
and all before him
were robbed of that hope
through no fault of their own—
enough is enough;
let justice be served

Robbed is an appropriate description; he had his life stolen from him. There will always be thieves in a position to take. Justice is not punishing the men who killed George Floyd, but rather taking away the ability for more of them to do so under the guise civil service.

The world is going to be watching these trials closely, the outcome will really determine if they have been listening. We saw a murder take place, plain and simple. Others should be brought to justice so that changes can be made.

Yes, and yes again. We need not loose sight of the match that struck this fire. And we need to learn that there are those among us that are to cruel and ignorant to be allowed to play with matches. 🔥
