Go Home

he runs on forgotten bridge
crossing to a dream
all gone now with whirling
winds leaves dead on ground

he screams to go back
to what it was, a confetti
of stars on warm dreams
love of his life, living

he stands alone tears
on eyelashes as grey
life, world colourless
It's instantly nothing

he weeps with fear
weariness and listlessness
alone unsure peeled skin
over exposed heart

all he hears
are vague words now
a memory
go home, cowboy, go home.
