The New Tang
Of all the weird things going on today
With scientists & politician fame,
About fake news, conspiracies & death,
The way the media is dropping names.
Suggestions coming in for miracles
From bleach & PineSol, household iodine.
You’ll find something under a basin sink
To curing common colds with 409.
But long before COVID-19 arrived,
Were kids who never had enough to eat.
A mix of vitamin and minerals
Was made, enriching food like it was meat.
So comes an age of putting to the test
A powder upon saving lives will hang,
And catering to children’s preferences,
A tasty, new & improved form like Tang!

Wow! That’s a flashback. Tang. Funny that was one of the only processed cans of crap my mother wouldn't allow. Pop tarts, Hawaiian Punch and Kool Aid. No problem. Go figure? Great reflection piece. Good luck in the comp. H🌷

The Wiki Poems competition inspired me when I did a Wiki random article search and found this:
Multiple micronutrient powder (MNP)

It’s a powder, and it’s real. Of course it’s not “that” Tang, but being a powder like Tang took me in that direction, giving me some artistic license.

I haven't had Tang in many years, but then again reading the label ingredients (especially the ones I can't pronounce) sound a little suspicious to me. Wiki is choc full of interesting things.
