It’s tough
Trying to get out of bed
So much easier staying
Darkness is welcoming
Building that invisible wall
Bolsters vulnerable thoughts
Life echoes onwards
Nothing shines bright here
Little devils create pain
Their whispers come from shadows
Splintering words slice
Always drawing blood
This rut deepens
Breath shortens
Smiling never enough
Just surviving
