As darkness
Engulfs our world
Loneliness reaches for the stars
Seeking solace
In dire circumstances
A sleepless night
Full of worry
Thoughts and scenarios
Replays vividly
Like cheap horror movies
Fear dripping from pores
Anxieties brings
Breathing difficulties
It’s palpable
All this pain
Sanity, certainty gone
Lost connections
Will they ever come back
Normal has been set
With new parameters
