Introvert's Paradise (Day 10)
They say we cannot go out
and that all the shops are shut
except the supermarkets and ones for groceries.
Frankly,
as an introvert and house-cat and gamer and hermit,
nothing much has changed;
I still have other worlds to escape to for freedom
and plenty of books to fall into
if the power ever does go out.
Seems that there may have been some value all along
in never quite being able to jump on and ride the world;
as plenty of people now have to walk.
Its easy to smell the roses if the road ahead is closed;
and lucky old England has plenty of gardens.

Re. Introvert's Paradise (Day 10)
100% agree with You
(though i consider myself as an Ambivert)
Not much has changed for me, as well.
I was keeping to myself before all this -- playing Chess & Poker online and spilling a poem once a month.

Oh, we are all Ambiverts in one way or another, but it seems easy to put ourselves in the staying in or going out crowd.

Yeah, I hear you. I've been having some health problems, so I am not very active right now. Nothing much has changed for me personally so far. I am already poor, reclusive and I hate shopping...so I fall right in. But we have not yet reached the fallout state....that is a whole other story.

See that's the thing; for the more introverted the Covid lockdowns are just an extension of the normal-ish, but for the more extroverted everything seems to have gone one step before post-apocalypse.

I'm with you. Life has changed very little for me as well. I was already laid off of my job when the quarantine began, and I'm kind of a hermit myself, so this is a piece of cake :P
I figure a lot of poets and creative minds of kind of like that, honestly!

Thankfully my job means I am still fully employed and doing training each day; not the worst but not as helpful as it could have been. I have also had the time to think and know I dislike the actual normal work and should look to move where my heart may fulfil its desire some more.
Just because there isn't always a party in the house, doesn't mean that the lights aren't on and something is stirring in the pot ready to be poured out sometime!

I was just discussing this perspective early today.
Well said Viddax In fact we’ went on to further discuss, the idea that if I hear one more person whine about what they can’t do I will just lose it. lol .. In fact this is a perfect chance to learn new things and perhaps get back to basics so to speak, appreciate what we take for granted ..
I am a introvert as well always happiest when I’m home lol

Plenty of time for a good book, or impromptu home-holiday, or anything like that. What with technology its not like people are utterly isolated from each other. But some people still cling to the outgoing party-animal values even though it wasn't useful then and isn't useful now!
