Isolation: Day 14
Today
I do nothing
apparently I am a hero for it
funny old world
A man in the Philippines punched a doctor in the face
this made the evening news in Britain
along with the relentless flow of images
depicting the bare and deserted streets of western civilisation
and the bodies
mustn’t forget the bodies
the mounting piles of nameless dead
adding to the ever present
daily count
I walk the dog
he has never been walked so much in his life
I go home
drink 8 cans
and gently fall
sound and softly to sleep
safe in the knowledge
I did my bit.
