COVID-19
a great threat to man,
but a silent victory
for Mother Nature

Re. COVID-19
Oh, do I understand this well!
I've been analyzing the virus using NCBI, running blast on various sections of the nucleotide sequences trying to find the intermediate host. All I keep getting is bat, pangolin in close 2nd (but the world already knows that).
When I run smaller sequences through blast, using only the segment that differs in bat vs human coronavirus, I get a range of marine life and even plant DNA.
Part of me wants to make it better, somehow, even with my severely limited knowledge...part of me feels it's better not to, because I feel humans have wronged nature so much and falsely assumed that they are above nature so much so that this may be what it will take, OVER AND OVER, to make them respond and respect nature.
I don't like the cost required to wake people up.
This is only a preview of how easily a virus can spread to humanity.
I am in awe as I watch the spread light up on the map.
As you know, as the ice melts and recedes more even deadlier viruses that have remained buried for thousands of years will re-emerge.
Right now, the world needs scientists.
Right now would be a great time to heed to the warnings of scientific research.
Sorry for being long-winded. Your few precisely chosen words hold so much truth, and are able to cut with a strong impact. Bravo.
Thank you.

Of course everyone is at odds, because you feel trapped like inside your home. Keep on writing.

Never looked at it that way, but highly agree with you. Good pen, my Friend. Also like the other readings that you provide, best thing to do while at home.

Nature putting the world on notice
The truth is this is not over or anywhere near the end
It is still going to happen again
Mistakes teach those in power nothing
