why cant I overcome  
resistance  
to this  
imperfect existence  
knowing  
if another appeared  
I'd  navigate  
that clean slate  
similarly inferior  
 
to bredren and sistren  
distracted  
by pre-fab  
re-tread  
endlessly re-enacted  
three card monty circuses  
schemed out  
with such purpose  
as to stretch  
equally rigged games  
into decades  
of crooked gain  
 
and with  
a straight face  
I insist  
that we are ALL equals  
ALL deserve the same  
 
aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  
 
but NOT of equal shame  
  
is THAT  
the genome  
separating  
wheat from chaff?  
 
the shameless  
willing to harvest  
principled vegetables  
that shamble down  
shamelessly shameful  
concrete paths  
shamefully paved  
concealing Mother Earth...  
 
.....and Her  
Gifts of sustenance  
selflessly offered  
until  
this most  
recent  
blip  
of a spec  
of a sum  
 
shamelessness
sped

doled out Her Bounty
