The details of this write are so endearing. Impacting snapshot that reveals spirit in subtle emanations. It's the essence of poetry. This is the first thing I read so far today that made my heart ache, some indescribable resonance passing between yours and mine.

you are so not cheesy at all. i understand that it is hard to have some outside self objectivity/view of oneself but anyone who considers your writing cheesy would require a glove-slap in the face and an instant demand for a pistol duel at dawn.
