Lovely components

I thought, " A thousand forevers isn't quite enough
To feel her light and drink her love.
This thought lingers as our fingers intertwine,
last minute believers, it's finally our time.
A whole lot of waiting had to be done,
and even some breaking to mold us as one.
It seems I missed her before I knew her,
I can't forget her as part of my future.
She holds the power to break me,
and a heart that can make me.
All these empty lines are just waiting
to be filled with words she gives birth to,
each one instilled and unguarded with virtue.
I cling to the moments we feel most alive,
such lovely components
that fill us inside.
