When my dog was dying
Walking her was tough
People always approached me
Wanting to know her story
Sometimes I was impatient
I didn't realize they probably went through the same
I could have been nicer
Fast forward I sometimes do the same
Approach people about their dogs
Some are kindly
Some are rude
Lessons learned
I still miss my baby
Will be 3 years in April

Your girl was a beauty and I know she’s still always going to be with you, Poppa. I had one pass 11 years ago - still have his picture on a table in my living room and I think of him constantly because he was best friends with my cat, Vondel, who is still with me. They used to sleep back to back - I often wonder if that’s why he snuggles up along my right chest wall / ribs every night...
