Winter Frost
A thin layer of frost covers my window
Making everything sparkle in the sun.
Trees are bare, left widowed
The winter frost has already won.
I'm a Summer girl, myself.
Built for warmth and green.
Truly more of a forest elf,
Than that of a human being.
But even I can appreciate the way
The woods move with a graceful winter breeze
How everything sways, but everything stays,
The air swirling and spiraling with ease.
Beauty even in the cold,
You simply have to smile
All life is put on hold.
Don't worry, it's only for a while.
Until once again the Sun appears
Hiding and soothing the winter,
Reminding us all that she still cares
Taming the frost's glitter
But for now let us enjoy
The beauty that is this fridged weather.
Our lovely woolen hats employed,
As snow floats like down feather.
I may be a Summer girl,
But with beauty like this
I'll give winter a whirl,
And learn to love this frosty kiss.
Making everything sparkle in the sun.
Trees are bare, left widowed
The winter frost has already won.
I'm a Summer girl, myself.
Built for warmth and green.
Truly more of a forest elf,
Than that of a human being.
But even I can appreciate the way
The woods move with a graceful winter breeze
How everything sways, but everything stays,
The air swirling and spiraling with ease.
Beauty even in the cold,
You simply have to smile
All life is put on hold.
Don't worry, it's only for a while.
Until once again the Sun appears
Hiding and soothing the winter,
Reminding us all that she still cares
Taming the frost's glitter
But for now let us enjoy
The beauty that is this fridged weather.
Our lovely woolen hats employed,
As snow floats like down feather.
I may be a Summer girl,
But with beauty like this
I'll give winter a whirl,
And learn to love this frosty kiss.
