It is such a shame
that they still need editing

Memories to linger,
that could even possibly draw finger
if the mind re-enacts,
such a subtle attack

I do hope delight
in verse stays at the centre
of your existence

It should be the aim,
unless I should find myself
creatively maimed

I will try to stop
horses from bolting and prevent
stable doors closing
