Wolf Moon
( a renga )
disturbs my instincts
one step before the other
in the lone village
a solitary
to howl and becomes many
in the bitter cold
its eyes of twilight
eclipse in a taste of blood
that drips from its jaws
disturbs my instincts
one step before the other
in the lone village
a solitary
to howl and becomes many
in the bitter cold
its eyes of twilight
eclipse in a taste of blood
that drips from its jaws

Hi sister Kitty xo
It’s a poem expressed through the yin & yang of haiku-senryu. The wolf moon is what appeared (as the first full moon of this month) on January 10th, which also went into a total eclipse.
And I’m glad you liked the set.🙏🏻

I thank you with my heart for your very thoughtful reading.
Regarding if I was speaking of a blood moon:
The wolf moon is what appeared (as the first full moon of this month) on January 10th, which also went into a total eclipse - thus that full moon also appeared as a blood moon due to it being a total eclipse. So the event inspired me to write “Wolf Moon”, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

What a cool spill Ms. Jade. I was coming home a couple of nights ago and the moon looked so beautiful thinking I should write something and here you are.
Thank you for sharing.
