The fall
I've been watching Winter
swallow Summer,
harsh wafts of wind and rain
breaking the legs of trees, echoing in the reserve,
rot providing homes for fungi and lichen.
I've watched the drowning of beds
once cracking on Sun's heat
knowing some will perish in that cold wet
'fore next season.
