Reaching for Sola Nirvana
today
she walked in the snow;
sun bright
on her brow,
casting shadows
into her eyes
long gone
dark
a single,
spring-green leaf
struggles to break free,
reaching for
Sola Nirvana;
small and determined,
it’s will to survive
focused
bending down,
her fingers gently
caressing;
the velvety-sharp
texture stings,
skip-starting
across her flesh;
even in its struggle
upward
it courageously
fights
where it stands
“me too, little one”,
she whispers quietly
me, too

Ugggh I can relate. It was snowing here before November and now it is sticking. Bracing for record accumulation this year; this weed will need a scuba mask with a tall reed for oxygen.

Ughhhhh is absolutely right lol. We’ve been hearing the same. Winters are already brutal here, so I’m not looking forward to it.

The slow pace of the write, the tender detail of it's action, weaves this ethereal scene before the mind's eyes. I picture snowflakes, impossibly white, sawing earthward, melting like tears on impact, 🙏🏻

The resilience of nature and it's will to survive is very inspiring and uplifting to me as well... Your ability to relate to a blade of grass, and understand it's struggle in relation to your own shows us your astounding connectedness with your empathetic side (and your emotions), and your strong sense of connection to nature and the universe...
