The Poet’s Muse

A trust and a kiss as we meet
found in the supreme love zone
instinctive wild sexual abandon
mmm yes baby I love the moan

My brain filled with risqué images
colored and framed in steamy ways
not child’s play but filled with spunk
decidedly a person play

General stereotype in the afterglow
you light up a menthol smoke
remorse not on the lips
the poets’ creed we haven’t broke

But found pleasure in each other
Canadian and Yankee in a hot mess
sleep calls our names gently
does the Sun bring us to confess?

That we share much in common
with the animal kingdom’s rules
pour me a second dose of sexing
we ignore the disdain of the fools
