bigoted boomers
bigoted boomers, please fuck off
stop telling me im not important enough,
that my screams will not be heard,
that my dreams are too absurd
that i cannot expect equality
(although it's kind of owed to me)
that this is how it is and i should just get used to it
the world is slowly dying but you dont fucking give a shit
gorillas, sea turtles, elephants - what are those?
the race to see who dies next keeps us on our toes
our lungs are literally on fire. can you feel the burn?
homes destroyed, lives lost, it soon will be your turn
to not have so much fucking privilege.
to know that this is real life not just images
that yes, children in this country are dying of starvation
will it take your own losses for you to fucking listen?
you see that theres a problem but you push the blame elsewhere
the fault is mine as it is yours - the fault is ours to share
you blame black people, asians
eastern europeans who are supposed to be our neighbours
anything to push away responsibility
so convinced we dont have the ability
to make change in the world for better, for good
respect our fellow beings as we know we should
no great change has come from people staying quiet
you have to make noise, cause a scene, start a riot
but i know staying silent is what you'll choose to do
dont worry, i'll scream loud enough for me and you
stop telling me im not important enough,
that my screams will not be heard,
that my dreams are too absurd
that i cannot expect equality
(although it's kind of owed to me)
