Thank you, johnny! I'll admit to being pragmatic with  the title. I didn't want an overarching title that diminished the meaning or unique quality of each poemette...so why  not Math? 😁 I sincerely appreciate your encouraging words (he says without peering over your shoulder)

Love them all, but of course especially #4. They even hang together interestingly as a whole set.

Thank you, Titanium! I agree that there is a common thread that the four share and that is love, misunderstood, mistrusted or lacking completely. Number 4 is to validate love as the proven antidote to hate.

I'm not sure if this comp is still active, but you do an amazing job & wish you an abundance of luck. That last stanza kicked ass!

No matter. I participate in the comps, usually, to knock myself out of a funk by writing on an assigned topic, or to challenge myself...if occasionally I win it's just gravy.
