Gone Fishing

 
All the poems i write has a style  
not all of them, will all approve  
is changing it really worthwhile  
if a rhyme isn't theirs to remove  
Some opinions i often find striking  
what do they expect us to do  
if a poem is not to their liking  
Then it probably wasn't for you  
It's like fishing alone on a pier  
first you write, then cast in a pond you need patience for what can appear  
it's amazing just what can be spawned  
So despite wanting to quibble  
i doubt they'll be getting their wish  
since the fish that are taking a nibble are usually the hungriest fish  
What poet writes only your preference  
who's giving you creative perks  
is ''choice'' a word you can reference because that's how society works.
