KICKING A DEAD HORSE
As I spiral out of control
Like a comet on its way to Hell
I fear I may not remember
Just why I fell
I can’t find my WAY
Through this pile of DEAD
Just a beaten SHELL
With demons in my HEAD
wake up
cannot wake up
never wake up
from this everlasting nightmare
i LISTEN to every single word
i GIVE IN to my animosity
i WITNESS the darker half of them
they FEED ME all their infamy
I found the truth at the end of the rope
Twitching tragic verse of the death of hope
As I struggle against the rising tide
My demise is of my own design
Kicking a dead horse
Over and over again
KICKING A DEAD HORSE
TO FUCKING HELL ONCE AGAIN
I am lost from the outside in
Like a scripture sent straight from God
Downside up with thoughts dismembered
Drowned in blood
Save your empty SMILES
Your pity means SPIT
‘Cause your gifts are VILE
And tainted with SHIT
sleep now
cannot sleep now
never sleep now
in this everlasting nightmare
the DARKNESS bitter cold
i WELCOME blackest infinity
if IT MEANS that i don’t need you
to DESTROY me anymore
I found the truth at the end of the rope

so, my King ... where are all those so'called ''Followers''?
Do they not know what they're missing in your poetry? I believe
your Kicking'A'Dead'Horse here ... I like the analogies
depicted in this piece, and the dark feelings accompanying. This is
like a sorrow'ed ballad but with the idea that you will not
succumb to any of it in spite what plagues ... poetry in motion
it may be but I always see light at the end of your darkened tunnel(s).

It doesn't bother me that not many read me on here. I post here mainly for my friends such as you and select few others. I posted this to Facebook last night and it topped 5000 reads sometime this morning. So it has gotten plenty of attention.
This whole poem is just one giant metaphor for dealing with everyday shit. I just embellished it a little. Poetic license I guess?
I'm glad you liked it and dig my intense pic. Maybe I'll use it on the back cover of my next book.
