Trope Driven Fire

Online profile read
Want someone
To light fire
Am guessing always been
A trait wanted in a mate
Has anybody been able
To do that yet?

Fire cannot be had
Way too hot
Requires swift action
Will consume you
If given half-a-chance
Swallow you whole
Spit you out
Looking different
Than ever before
Blackened, desperate
To resemble self again

Fire, instinctively
By nature is action
Ignition required
Movement inspired
Me too required
Trope delivered
Escape almost futile

Movement must be greater
To escape burning ravages
Many to their demise
Not realizing
The power within
Slow to heed signals
That Voice within

Papers read,
"Burned beyond recognition
Died shortly thereafter
Went down in flames
Living in head
Where nothing is real
Except fake escape.
Charred remains left
No one to blame."

Author's Note
We all sit waiting for a fire to move us, to cause us to grow. The sign read, "Don't wait too long, may never know what it's like to live in the world instead of just in head where really only thing real is...and it reads on and on..."
