Indifference
Love, should be a sacred bond that binds the souls in a dance that enchants lovers, and not be an anchor of misery.
The difference between her and I is that I’m not afraid of being alone whatsoever as I thoroughly enjoy my own company, and the freedom that that entails to do whatever the fuck I want, when I want without seeking permission to do so.
We spend years building the foundations of love only to brutally murder it overnight as we unthread the stitches with lies and unspeakable betrayal, little by little.
Forgiveness, comes at the price of resentment each time you make a fool out of me, especially when it was apparent you thought I was blinded by your love.
I could make you suffer but it’s easiest for me to sever the ties, and find my healing in another as I derive no pleasure in baring witness to your breakdown as you navigate your way through those 5 stages of grief; perhaps kubler - ross can help you.
My happiness isn’t worth the insanity you reign upon my psyche because there’s someone else out there, who knows how to cherish, in sickness & in health without the headfuckery of your emerging sexual addiction.
The coffee tastes great today, and the weight of us has finally lifted, it’s amazing how spending the day in the deep blue heals my internal fractures.

Though some of us like to assume a quick band aid patch of "there there that'll make it all better"

Can agree a breakup (or in my case ceasing to live with a relative I could not always get on with and transitioning to living in my own place) can be a time for enjoying things that reinforce one's feeling of freedom.
