Does she write poems for you?
Do you caress her skin
And whisper the same sweet nothings?
Do you kiss her neck
And leave bite marks on her back?
Does she love more of the things you love?
Does she cry when you ignore her?
Does she miss you as much as I do?
Do you tell her you love her
When it’s pouring rain
Warming her insides
Pulling her close
I’ve loved you for longer
I’ve thought of you more
More than she possible could
But none of that really matters?
You’re so far away from me
You’ve given your heart to another
Now all I do is wonder
About all the times we said “I love you”
In the pouring rain

It will pass, become a dull ache that you occasionally finger to remind yourself you felt it but for now you are doing everything right - facing it, feeling it full pelt, documenting it in realness. Stay strong, lovely girl, better things will come. Let yourself let them in when you are ready. Want more for yourself than that boy ever offered.
