Inside Me
I didn’t dare to look into their eyes,
The way they hovered over me,
He tried to be as gentle as much as he could,
And she,
Well she was there mostly to watch.
At times I closed my eyes,
Nervous,
Full of anticipation,
Knowing it was going to hurt just a little,
I’ve felt pricks before
But sometimes some hurt more than others.
I opened my eyes,
His fingers were inside me,
Digging,
Prodding,
Poking,
Sliding inside and out,
I kept my cool as his tool went deep.
I flinched giving the slightest of groans,
He paused for a second and asked if I was ok,
But I nodded approvingly.
Then I felt her,
She was over me,
Her fingers were inside along with his,
Working as a team,
I didn’t want to look into her eyes,
She was close as she stared,
I laid there with my mouth open,
Frozen,
At times I could feel myself tense up,
Tightening,
Taut,
But then I heard him say
“Relax your tongue”.
It was a couple of hours later,
As I laid in my bed,
Hurting and sore,
I reflected on what happened
Earlier that afternoon,
When I told my wife
About my dentist experience.
The way they hovered over me,
He tried to be as gentle as much as he could,
And she,
Well she was there mostly to watch.
At times I closed my eyes,

Full of anticipation,
Knowing it was going to hurt just a little,
