Chapel Heybrook

Heybrook Bay, LT, 8°c, 600m

Framed by Jurrasic edges and clear water is an island
where Earth bound dragons live,
fog is born,
magic gathers.

In the crystal pool, as tide licks gently in the crevices, wetting the muscles,
and limpets, I circle you
as a cold blooded creature
lusting warmth.

I'd forgotten you, here,
the safety in the arms of your bay
and sheer abandon venturing beyond.
Whipping your seaglass as medals and memories, I thank you.

Until next time - stone-covered Sanctuary of Salt.
