A Moment In Time
A moment in time, frozen in my mind
captured by a vision of beauty
an angel in my eye
the morning to my sky
day upon day
with sunshine sparkling down
you dawned upon my kind
and knew another you wouldn't find
life's whispers were few
murmurs of murder fell upon these lips
a fucked up pattern of pain
spiraling
lost and out of control
nights of loneliness took hold
days of false smiles winked
blurring what was really inside
a few choice words from you
consoled my cries
that killer look you gave
those deep sea eyes
giving solace to my broken
not a worry what was spoken
you tugged my soul
suspending me from the deep
casting me into the shallows
where I could breathe
It was right there and right then I knew
I'd always have your care
too hard to breathe without you
