Across The Sand
Like the breeze blowing in off the sea
caressing your beautiful locks
I look, turn, then look again
wondering where you're heading
and where you've been
I imagine the waves washing
up over the beach
touching your skin
the glisten, radiating,
the heat as you lick your lips
parched, you search for nourishment,
for strength to carry out the day
let me be your water
flowing through your veins
seeped in acquiescence
filtered thru the brain
let me be your wind
the breaths of life you take
each one offers substance
in the moments that you make
the tide has moved a bit
the waves have in settled in
you walk in reverent silence
beauty, across the sand
