It's her birthday
She's getting a hot water bottle
Gift wrapped
In the silver sleeves from the liquor store
She's getting liquor too
You'd need that too if you lived with me

Hot water bottles are hard to find
Younger people in drug stores don't know what they are
They don't have the aches and pains of we geezer types
Had to explain to 3 or 4 sales associates
They offered me ice packs instead
Those they could find

A world gone mad ?
Not really
Tried and true remedies are lost on these souls
Grandmothers and Moms know
Finally found one, it was dual purpose with ice
It's gift wrapped and will have to do
