guardians

fauna and flora divinity over nature
within the garden beside the quiet waters
sitting by the sacred pools
looking in I see my reflection

blue was the day proceeding over me
her gentle pain was my own
I see the cares of the day on my face

swirls the water sending ripples through it
it calms me to watch on as it stills once again
so it is in the mortal realm
one drop puts the rest into motion
inner turmoil...I release to the aether

the trees in the garden are guardians
overseers over my peace
they carry the weight of the world in their branches
their boughs bend but never break
they stand stoic and true

hearer of secrets...
never to be told to another
with a hushed rustle of leaves
I'm at ease in this sanctuary
my deeper truths safely hidden

while they whisper poetry to me
and the gentle ripples lull me to sleep
where I dream...
