Behind the wheel

Am I being dishonest with myself?
Do I need to get out there and seek help?
I just feel guilty
Guilty that I don’t have my learners yet
Guilty that I don’t quite fit the mould yet
When society expects me at this age
To freakin’ know how to drive
I ask myself “what’s holding me back?”
And deep down the devil is stopping me from achieving that
So later in life I will suffer even more
Without a stinking car!
Living like a loser (no thanks)
Like bussing my kids to school and me to work
Every single day
That doesn’t seem ok (unacceptable)
Feeling held back by the thought
The devil never wants me to learn anything new
Because it’s a threat to him
Whenever new knowledge comes through
Or that he tries to stop me, entering that open road and shuts it quick
Like a fly trapped in a book
Squashed dead and left there as a stain remains
As I write this, the devil shall listen
And my voice will be heard by many!
Who are also trying to get behind the wheel
But they keep following by what they “feel”
Lets overcome these fears
Connect with ourselves more
And be more honest with ourselves
We are forgetting what we really need
And always focusing on what we really want, via social media
That’s not good, this has to stop
Stop chasing the wrong things
And focus on what will serve a purpose in your life
Do we ever stop to ask ourselves why we say we do, doesn’t happen?
No, we are dishonest and deny all truths within the mind
We say “we’ll do it tomorrow”
When tomorrow might never come
We forget that the power is in our hands
Because almost everything is automated for us now
We make the excuse and let the present time control us from getting behind the wheel
“Public transport covers it all, no big deal”
But in later life, you’ll ask yourself “did I make that mistake, for real!?”
We need to fight the devils mindsets
Turn it into positive attitudes
Because our attitudes is carried on us
Through and through
So you do you!
