the heaviness of being
my sadness spoke...
of grey days without end
of fog that would not lift
it was grieved inside me
sadder than sad it wept
it cried tears of true sorrow
bleak was its outlook
its little frame was racked with sobs
I tried to no avail to soothe it
my sadness would not be comforted
I could not ease its pain
depression was its creator...
deep inside my ego
it was the broken parts of me
inside my soul the shadowy dark spots;
it was grey that could not be contained
infecting my spirit with its frailty
it is the heaviness of being that affects us all
some more deeply than others
we carry it solemnly, stoically
until the colors of the soul bleed with it
until nothing else is left

Crimmy,
Let me just preface this by saying you're beautiful, and despite the sadness of that poem, it's one of my favorites ever.
Unfortunately, I like sad, and feel it too often, but you wrote it so beautifully. (That's the one good thing about sadness, it creates some masterpieces).
Great write.
Love,
Matthew.

The depression does come and go, but you evidence strength, not frailty. Anyone who writes like you deserves the lightness of being. It will come, and maybe stick around. You deserve the best. I have an inclination to depression, and dread, so this one really stirs me. Marvelous job!

thank you dearest Sir Crow for your understanding heart... yes it does come and go... I wish for the depression to depart us both for good but I know in reality that's not likely to happen...
so we write it out and ride it out...
you have a beautiful soul I always look forward to seeing and reading you...
love Brenda 💕

I love this so much and can so deeply relate to this message! So amazingly written Brenda!👏👏
Love this part especially
"it is the heaviness of being that affects us all
some more deeply than others
we carry it solemnly, stoically "
Aint that the truth so perfectly said
This is great Brenda love this👏👏
