subtract the pain
carry the guilt
minus the blame
isn't an equation for mere mortals

it's impossible to solve
we don't have the calculations
to factor in grace
love is the missing quotient

it's simple mathematics of the heart
but computers can't comprehend
the neverending nature of love

it is infinite
it will continue in an everlasting loop
from its source to the intended
it is reciprocal in truth
carried one to another

the heart is a vast mystery
love uncharted territory
we enter with the understanding
once we venture in
we will not be returning the same creature

for with matters of the heart
there is no definitive answer
