Merry Christmas

 
this is a magical time of year
today I count my blessings
for a family dear to me
a husband who loves me
children and grandchildren
who I adore...

so many days I look at my cup as empty
when in truth it's full of the finest spirits
I have friends who watch over me
listen to my pains and turmoil
though this is no psychology club
you walk me through it

here in these sacred halls
I've found understanding
you are so much like my very own family
I wish to tell you Happy Holidays
and Merry Christmas

that wherever you are today
you are close in my heart always
we come together and grow apart
but I never forget...
those who've walked with me over the years
seeing me through each day
be it wonderful or a disaster

you've seen my beauty, witnessed my falls
withstood my delusions stood by me through it all
you're all a part of my heart now
how could it be any other way?
brothers and sisters on a whole other level
yes and I will say it I've come to love you
