she who dances with the stars
the night forgot who I was
it no longer saw my shadow
dancing with the stars
time passed and my face was just no more
it grieved my loss as it would a child
I sent it a letter
telling of my crossing through the mortal doorway
but it wouldn't follow me here
and witness my pain as a human
it was more than the night could bear seeing me weakened
and prone to mortal misery
it knew me when I danced with the first dawn
shaking the cobwebs from the infantile minds
of the children who nod
waking them with the thunder of footsteps made by the people
who walked the heavens before them
hunting daydreams and performing magic
the first voice
came from the deep blackness of space
it echo across the wide expanse
waiting to hear back from a life force like its own
when there were none
with not even a spark it created one
calling on its dreams to fashion a beauty
one to spend all time with
it called me to its mind from nothing
I could not be forced into understanding
sadly I had to walk a lifetime
many lifetimes to become the flavor of an enlightened being
one to cross all the deserts
bringing water to the thirsty
I am an enigma
I am human
I am she who dances with the stars
I am the blackness
I live, feel and breathe
I am no longer alone
