Words Aren't Enough
There are a million and one
Words in the spoken language,
But my heart knows words
That the mouth cannot speak true.
I fell hard and fast.
If words are missing
From a spoken tongue,
And they're feelings I can't enscribe
Into parchment, how do I describe my love for you?
You are the light that will last.
What power I seek,
To explain unexplainable emotions:
“You are the one,”
But tell me, what does it mean?
As good as it gets and only getting better.
I saw the breath of life in your eyes
When they met mine,
Even if the shine
Was just behind a screen.
You're mine. I'm yours. Forever.
Words in the spoken language,
But my heart knows words
That the mouth cannot speak true.
I fell hard and fast.
