poetry magic
I haven't a clue about being a real writer
I think i'm greeting card close
but a celebrated author not so much
I pour my emotions into it
it's comes off sugar and cream
when I want roasted dark
I long to be an artist
skilled with words
a serious poet
one I can respect
I know how to shock
and garner my emotions
then lay them out
but to do it in a way
that makes one sit back and take notice
I fail
in need of a unique way to express
what has been already said
about love, life and the rest of it
I haven't cracked the code yet
but I hunger with a passion for it
I want to get a degree in the arts
but I'm not sure
this type of poetry magic can be learned
you either have it or you don't
I have a driving need to write
to create, to keep getting better
it burns in my gut
possessed by it i'm pushed ever further
do you know the feeling?
it's all consuming
and I'm afraid this might be my undoing
to capture my thoughts
and create a work of art
one da Vinci would be proud of
an inspired masterpiece
All writing remains the property of the author. Don't use it for any purpose without their permission.

Something happens when you stop to strive....when you don't give a fuck. After all you need to validate yourself. I sometimes feel what I put out is half baked or mediocre.... I judge by some standard that I don't even understand myself and then....somebody or a few somebodys really dig my "mediocricy". Also, I would become concerned if too many folks like my writing....I do not aim to be pop culture. You're good, just keep on keepin on.

thank you dearest Angel most graciously I just want to top myself always when I fail to do that I get disappointed.. I don't give up though because in past experience waiting on my muse to give me something I thought was better led to me not writing for some time.. you're right reaching people is important and it seems the muse that guides us knows when we don't..
I deeply cherish your insight..

I truly believe that Poe, Byron, Shelly, my personal hero, the Italian Corazzini and probably all the immortals of poetry, have felt what you feel. Corazzini, the child poet, as he was called, was considered a great poet in his twenties, age he died prematurely of TB, but he kept repeating that he wasn't a poet, but only a child, in a beautiful poem he wrote in the 1900's. He was a master of ancient languages, like Greek and Latin, which he was capable of writing contemporarely using both hands simultaneously. You, my dear, are a great poet. You breath passion and you give beauty and emotion with your poetry. I was struck from the very first I had ever read. You are truly an example worth following and learning from. Like you I have not found many. May you always be a star for those who wander on this road. I salute you. Truly and sincerely. J.

No need to doubt yourself, Crim. You're a poet of enormous power and artistry. There are more refined poets, but they lack your fury, defiance and humor. This is magic indeed.

Dearest Crim never ever doubt anything you do.
I can honestly say you were one of the very first authors I read from here and I’m glad I did!!
I ALWAYS enjoy reading your work.
Probably doesn’t mean much as I have absolutely no education in this field.
But I feel from writing as long as I have and reading wonderful works as your own for example it has helped me greatly!!
Love Ken

I think your poetry is beautiful Crimsin and no poet can ever write perfectly every time if there's such thing as perfection. As long as it's something you enjoy doing, keep doing. xox

Dear Crimsin,
The desire to write is the main impetus to write something valuable, but for sure your writing is great because it is real and comes from the heart.

"I haven't cracked the code yet
but I hunger with a passion for it"
an artist like a vegging plant never finishes growing...
and continues until we grow into another understanding...
our soul flowers into another dimension...
then perhaps we speak a new language and the poetry starts a new...
besides all that my dear Crims...it just would not do if we found satisfaction, would it...
can't get no...
Jeff
